Eric Simonin wanted his creations to evoke the elements. Mushrooms represent earth, jellyfish water and butterflies air. He uses fire to melt sand and turn it into glass. It is a tribute to nature, to its beauty but also to its fragility. He combines graceful shapes with enchanting, powdery, shimmering, dichroic, translucent or opaque colours, creating superb jewellery, vases, platters, bottles, paperweights, flowers, candle-holders, animals, etc. Every painstakingly composed piece is unique. He works in front of the public; entrance is free. The studio and gallery are open daily from 10:30am to 6:30pm.
