The tradition of Nontron cutlery began in 1653, making it France's oldest knife manufacturer. Cutting up the metal for the blade, shaping it, assembling and then signing the knife help preserve the spirit of authenticity. Nontron is driven by a desire for modern design while maintaining respect for traditional craftsmanship. The factory building reflects the image of the Nontron knife: wood cladding on a steel frame. Inside, you can watch knives being made through a window overlooking the workshop floor.
The workshop and boutique are open year round during the week.
